Bring Down The Sky

This is amazing since I contacted the live chat with an EA games advisor and he said that I needed the help of a specialist.Are you kidding me?After I bought the game and just wish to have that FREE DLC , I have to contact a Specialist and I have to spend again more money?What is this , the government or a games company?

Yeah I did and it didn't worked for me.

If the codes listed in the thread do not work all you need to do is contact an EA Game Advisor for a new one.

Yeah, I did and you weren't specific about what the issues was. Now if you're going to be an eema about it I'll stop tying to help you.

The problem is that I found about 3 or 4 topics about the sticky : "can't install bring down the sky 'cause I have no CD key".
Ok , according to our mutual friend Google , you have to sign in to Bioware Social and register your purchased copy of Mass Effect 1 and then , you will receive a valid activation key for the DLC.

After proceeding to Social Bioware , ( I didn't need to register , I already have an account ) I searched for Mass Effect 1 so I could register it and claim that activation key.Thing is , ME 1  it's not present on the list of games.

After reading more posts and topics I have discovered that the only way you can actually receive an activation key for "Bring Down the Sky" is contacting a game advisor at EA Live Chat.

I contacted the game advisor , I explained to him that all I wanted was an activation key for the DLC and he kept saying that I should call a supervisor (I can't do that , I'm not from the States) , after telling him that I cannot do so , he proceeded to giving me a Skype number (free , not where I'm from) and call that number.And after that , the chat was interrupted.

Did I mention I had to wait 28 minutes for the advisor?

All I would like is a valid activation key , because the ones I found around here are already IN USE.

At some point between ME1 & ME2 Bioware Social Network was redesigned and you were no longer able to register ME1; Microsoft was involved with ME1, but was not involved with the subsequent games...no doubt that is why the change occurred.

Since the old method is no longer available the new process is:

1) Download one of the .exe files linked to in eaursula's post on the sticky thread.
2) When prompted by the installer to enter a key use either one of the keys listed in the sticky thread on this forum or a new one obtained from EA.

To date I've never had to call EA to obtain a key and I've had to reinstall ME1 at least three or four times since I first purchased it. Usually I send the request via email, though I did use live chat during my most recent reinstall.

ME-1 is old now.  It predates the Social site by two year or more, and AHQ by maybe four years.  The only EA registration it had was on a "Legacy" forum that Bioware ran from about 2002 until shortly after the Social Forum was begun.  They claimed there was a security breach, and it was too much work to cure the faults after they shut it down.  Nothng was done after that about registering ME-1 until the Trilogy was released, and what it amounts to now is a kludge of major proportions. 

Ok , I understand that I have to download one of the .exe files and when prompted use the key given in the post , I tried 4 times with different keys and it still not works.And having contacted one of the EA game advisor , I obtained nothing.So...how am I supposed to play bring down the sky?
