[BUG] ME1 Framerate drop after killing docile salarians on Virmire

When killing the docile salarians in their cell on Virmire, the framerate is reduced to an unplayable level. Saving and reloading doesn't fix it. Shutting down the game and resuming also doesn't work...

I came to report this issue as well.

I had this issue pop up after a few other cut scenes as well most often with cutscenes where you need to kill a salarian. But this was the only one where reloading the save or the entire game did not fix it. Had to leave the poor mindless salarians to their fate. 

Hardware:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19042) 

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 -- Driver Version: 27.21.14.6627

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz

DirectX Version: DirectX 12

RAM: 24 GB installed

    @Monsarona My frame rate dropped to 5 fps on the freighter and also virmire. On Virmire it fixed itself after I got far enough away from the cells, then dropped again as I backtracked past the area. win10 home, I7 4790K, strix GTX970
