[BUG] ME1 Framerate drop after killing docile salarians on Virmire

When killing the docile salarians in their cell on Virmire, the framerate is reduced to an unplayable level. Saving and reloading doesn't fix it. Shutting down the game and resuming also doesn't work...

Same thing here, the salarians are holding my FPS hostage. Save/load, failed. restart, failed. system restart, failed. 

AMD Ryzen 1600 (Ancient, I know.)

AMD Radeon 5700 XT, Dvr 21.4.1 (I see some people on 21.5.1, im guessing that hasnt hit the older card yet cause im UTD)

32GB DDR4 3200

Win 10 64bit

UPDATE: For me, the issue resolved when I got halfway through the conversation with Rana Thanoptis.
