Can not install!
Hi, I am trying to install Mass Effect 3. The game says it has finished, I get the green check mark in my game library but where the play tab should be it still says install.
I have tried installi...
The strange thing about this that it happens on Windows 7 for both of you.
Please try this:
- Create a new user account with Administrator rights.
- reboot
- logon to the new account and try to install the game.
Hello @Danycian @MacCommando
Have you been able to resolve those issues? Can you play Mass Effect 3 now? Let us know if you are still in need of assistance.
Cheers,
Archi
I still have issues. I am not going to create another user account which was suggested above, seems it caused issues for @MacCommando anyway.
If you have any suggestions which have not already been mentioned I would really appreciate it.
It did not caused issues for @MacCommando, the issue he experienced happened because of a server problem.
It is of course your prerogative to not follow my advise, but then I can't help you further.
Hi Guys,
It seems to be there was an Update for the Origin-Client. I'am actually triying some things.
Can anybody confirm that the actual version is 10.4.5.25153 - 0 ?
EDIT 13:50: Ok, Origin is running now at the new "Super-Admin" Account. All my 🏀 Games appearing normally again. Aaaand, hover over "Mass Effect 3" - "Right Klick" - "Install" ... hoping. Aaaand - the same *! InstallLog.txt brings the same GDF-Error.
What I've found out is this "Hidden Adminaccount". This is a leftover from Windows XP Times. Here is an article how to activate it (sorry, German only) ---> https://www.windowspro.de/andreas-kroschel/windows-7-eingebautes-administratorkonto-aktivieren
The short way is: Call up the dos-prompt with admin-rights and enter "lusrmgr.msc". Then go to the disabled Super-Adminaccount and uncheck "Disabled".
But this has no effect, all the same. From now on the Military takes over.
After cleaning the infected "Mass Effect 3.exe" from the Origin-Virus, M3 runs perfectly - finally! So simple, only 1 file. Character (Savegame) Import from M2 was also no problem.
What I also really don't like is that Origin runs 2 Services calling "Origin client service" and "Origin Web Helper Service". This is really not an important System-Software and this is very arrogant. Steam and UPlay never running such services.
But now I'am satisfied, no further help needed 🙂
I started Origin last night and seen there was an update so I tried installing ME3 again off the discs and it worked!!
Glad to see you got yours running too @MacCommando.
Appreciate all the help and suggestions @holger1405, I meant no offense. Thanks for everything.
