Ok so my game was working fine a couple days ago. Now Mass effect 3 crashes right after checking downloaded contentPeculiar things about the crash:- eacoreserver .exe doesn't seem to be starting up right, seems to either not start up at all or close very quickly- if I play the game with origin in offline mode single player works- putting origin back online lets multilayer work but without any dlc- my voice input/output seems to be not working, both boxes are blank and will not allow me to select a deviceThings I've already tried:reinstalling me3 and originrepairing the installupdating all sound and video driversdisabling sound devicesdeleting local content in the my documents/bioware foldersystem restore to back when it was workingchecked firewall, antivirus and router to make sure nothing was getting blockedany help/suggestions would be apreciated

Bump, I also have this issue and I tried all the workarounds by the EA support, this is just frustrating, if I buy a game, I want to play it.

Just wanted to let you know,I was able to fix my issue by deleting everything in the Documents>BioWare>Mass Effect 3 and keeping only the Saves>Your character name(Remember to backup your saves, in any case).I don't know what was wrong, I guess corrupted files or something.then just start your game without cloud sync at first.For me it worked.

Alright, I finally found a workaround that works (for me). Here's what it is:You need to find your Bioware folder, the one that contains all your saves. For me, the path was My Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect 3 > Save >Then, you need to dig out the "Local_Profile.sav" file. Back it up. There might be multiple copies.Save the backup in a folder. I have a generic backup folder in My Documents. Whatever. Just get it out of there!Delete the file "Local_Profile.sav"Game should run.Back on the main subject, however, this is a serious bug and it needs to be solved. There are multiple threads on multiple forums complaining about this issue, and all of them look similar to this one. Please fix it!

Quite perculiar. This bug has been here for over 2 years, and EA hasn't done anything about it. As far as I know, a guy from EA has posted asking if we have all tried the workarounds posted. What the... ? What about fixing this?I have tried all the suggestions here. None have worked. My money is on, that the game saves some odd setting that makes the game crash. I can't believe that the game fetches savegames 1-2 seconds into the loading of the game. I refuse to believe that. I installed the game after some months away from the game yesterday. It worked like a charm on first launch. The day after, broken.

I dont even get to the ea symbol and i have no saves to delete. I tried the rest of the stuff in here. I dont have the retaliation dlc, and origin doesnt seem to be the problem. I just bought this last night. If this continues to be an issue, I will conclude you no longer care for your customers and i will cease playing your games.

really bizzare, yanking out the cord actualy worked, kinda akward but that'll do for now

It's definitely not related to ISP, the crashes started happening 3-4 days ago. Before that it was all smooth sailing for me.
On a related note, I re-installed Origin once (including deleting the AppData folders) and re-installed ME3 4 times. Repair install on everything, including DLCs numerous times. Nothing works, I'm completely stumped. The only thing I haven't tried yet is disabling data execution for Origin and masseffect3.exe, because it doesn't allow me to do so :I

Yeah don't disable DEP, its there for a reason man,

I don't think it has anything to do with the installs, because it does run with the workaround, has to do something with one of these things:
+connecting to EA servers
+DLC check/DRM
+Challenge points tracking, updating
+BW store
+Banners

I think I fixed it for my case - changed banner from 'Hardcore' to something else (Nomad). Try changing your current banner and see if it still crashes.

remove DLC retaliation (DLC_CON_MP4) open the game and go to multiplayer. do not close the game, return back folder with DLC.
Now join a friend who has this DLC. after that you are playing with retaliation.
but if you close the game you will have to do it all over again.

My issue is similar but I crash at the EA opening logo. I've tried everything. Repair, re-install game and origin, reformat windows, deleting save data, etc. Nothing works. First time I've ever has an issue with the game. My hardware specs can more than run the game adaquately.

I have also been having this exact situation for over a month now. I have a case with EA, which will probably go nowhere again. If this is a Bioware issue, they need to issue a patch **bleep** the expense. If this is Origin, fix it already EA; your suggestions for workarounds have been lame thus far and without effect. Yanking a cable is getting old....
