@onemadvagabond Additional patches will follow in the next two months. This is just the first based on community feedback. Hang in there. 🙂
I don't mean to be well, rude, but why the heck should anyone be expected to 'hang in there'? I am curious, those who forgive the creators of games these days that are pushed out with so many bugs, why do you feel the need to do so? Do you not feel that when you are paying for the game, you are not owed a finished game in return? Do you say the same thing when your car has numerous recalls? Do you accept when a restaurant tells you we will bring this raw in the middle burger back to your when we get around to it? Your new smartphone only has some features working correctly, do you just move along and say get to it when you get to it?
I don't get why people are trying to blame EA.
Look if you get an assignment deadline and then fail to have your project completed by that deadline, how is it your boss/tutor/professor's fault?
You had the time to get it done but failed to have a working cohesive product in time. That isn't EA's fault, it's Bioware's.
Now if it is parts of the game were removed to become DLC at a later time... That is EA.
Bad writing for the story plot and character interactions/romances etc that is Bioware.
Poor graphically done hair since the days of Dragon Age Origin... Bioware again.
Budget to get resources for the game... EA/Bioware.
And yes we are all suffering a buggy somewhat broken game on release, but this should not be considered normal or acceptable just because it has become a trend, otherwise there is no point in buying games on release anymore period if all we will get is a broken half made product. Maybe then dev's and producers will notice us and understand that quality is what we want.
And inb4someonesaysit Even IF all bugs are fixed in this game.... We will still have a generic plot, poor character interactions, bad romances written and wasted potential. It is basically like the infamous ME3 ending. No matter what patches and updates come, we are still stuck with the same story.
I want to see an improvement in that actual game alongside the patches. IMHO Bioware has dropped the ball since ME2, DA2/ME3/DAI were all bad for various reasons and suffered bad writing. Sometimes dialogue choices don't even make sense and for the two choices we get it feels like sometimes they basically say the same thing but just in a different approach.
I want Bioware to be great again but I feel like they are getting too used to cutting corners and releasing games that have subpar elements to it. I wanted this to rival Witcher 3, but it seems no game will in the near future.
