On the romances: it works like in the first three games: you can tell that some romances are more worked on and seem to have more impact than others. In the first games it was basically Liara, you could tell that was the romance they wanted you to choose, and in this one it's Peebee, Cora and maybe Jaal. At least it's three instead of one. The others feel like secondary options just like in the original games.
Liam should not be a "side" romance. At all.
Kaidan got a great romance in Mass Effect, as did Garrus.
Andromeda promosed plenty of "banging" and only what? Three characters got sex scenes in the entire game?
In the original games they all got a sex scene. This just feels lazy and undone. Sara Ryder should have at least one decent human male option. Which should probably be Liam since he is the only one who counts towards the achievement. They give us the first decent dark male romance option who isn't a cheater like Jacob, and then slap us in the face with a terrible incomplete romance. The character overall is amazing, the romance is so poor that its barely a romance at all.
All of the romances in the original, even the side romances had better sexy scenes and build up than this game has. I know they can do so much better.

@onemadvagabond Additional patches will follow in the next two months. This is just the first based on community feedback. Hang in there. đ
I don't mean to be well, rude, but why the heck should anyone be expected to 'hang in there'? I am curious, those who forgive the creators of games these days that are pushed out with so many bugs, why do you feel the need to do so? Do you not feel that when you are paying for the game, you are not owed a finished game in return? Do you say the same thing when your car has numerous recalls? Do you accept when a restaurant tells you we will bring this raw in the middle burger back to your when we get around to it? Your new smartphone only has some features working correctly, do you just move along and say get to it when you get to it?
I haven't tried that, from hanging out in the bug reports it seems like there isn't a fix to it, but I will definitely try that tomorrow if the patch doesn't fix it!!

The glaring difference?
This is a game. Entertainment.
It would be the same as throwing a tantrum because a movie ended other than the way you wanted.
You see, from my point of view, the game works. I am entertained.
There was no detailed plan for how the game played out when I bought it.
If a gun had a glitch or even a major character in the game had a problem, they could completely remove it and in no way be in breech of any contract.
Sure, things could run smoother...and they will.
Anyone who pre-orders a game or buys it on release and expects no bugs is crazy. That doesn't happen. Ever.

It makes no difference if it is entertainment. Are you not expected to get a finished working product upon delivery? How about the people who have bugs that are so bad that they cannot kills the game? If your movie 'entertainment' you went to see stopped playing in the theater ten minutes into the movie, would you just let it go and leave? You are still buying a product in either case, entertainment or not makes no difference. If you purchase an OS like Linux or Windows and it didn't work, would you just sit there and say, oh well, it's not a car or food so whatever? I'm sure they will fix it someday.

Its not the creators faults its the publishers like EA.
Believeit or not, the devs, artists, va's love what they do and tske pride in their work. The publishers have the final, say on what goes in, gets cut, gets finished, polished 3tc before the push. These days publishers have no patience. They want the $$$ yesterday so don't give time for a product to be finished before launch. Instead expect that done after, once micro transactions and money from merchandise is coming in
I will agree on the part that EA is mostly at fault, but there are a lot of things in this game that should have been addressed by Bioware. They have been at this game for five years now.

You're right but to be fair most AAA games don't give you two patches in two weeks since release, it usually takes months and sometimes they don't even do that (remember Arkham Knight PC where they basically just said "we're not gonna fix it, sorry"). Yes, it's becoming a real problem now in the industry where a lot of AAA games come out rushed and with a lot of problems (though I feel it's getting better compared to only two years ago, especially on PC where you were 100% sure until recently that you'd get a buggy game at launch), but at least they're listening to the community and working really fast. It doesn't exonerate them but it gives them a little more credit than other devs.
It's also a really big game where some of the minor bugs are likely not to come out until millions of people play it with all different setups and all different styles.
is the 'sam cant be interacted with" bug going to be included as far as any one can tell? i still have the third and fourth memory to watch, but all the memories gathered âšī¸
also, im so glad that theyre making the planetary travel scenes skippable, those scenes were so long and only cool for like the first five planets lol
- Anonymous9 years agoDidn't see a single thing about all of the game breaking (actually game ending) nexus bugs. it mentioned game crashes but this is something on another level. I can't even go to the nexus anymore without it crashing and my main quest requires me to go there to proceed... I'm not going to toss 100 hours and just start over.
