Do Multiplayer Achievement Progress Bars Reset When Offline?

I just started noticing that when in offline mode all of my multiplayer achievement bars are set to 0/1, or 0/6 or whatever, while the singleplayer bars stay the same. Can someone else tell me what happens when they're in offline mode to confirm this is normal for everyone?

If it's true, perhaps it's because that achievement info isn't stored locally, since it goes back once I return online.

Edit: I noticed this happens to the DLC-linked achievements too. Is this common for everyone?
