Download keeps pausing

Question

Before an admin copies and pastes an answer, please read what i got to say.

YES, I am an administrator. I run EVERYTHING as administrator.

It's not just mass effect, EVERY game on Origin has the same issue. Mass Effect (1 from the Trilogy Collection) keeps pausing at 54%. When I Resume the download, i keep getting "Your Download has been paused - Origin needs to download files and is waiting for permission. I don't get the "yes" prompt. Please don't make me screenshot my admin status.

I tried closing all program, I tried it again after re-installing Origin, and all firewalls are down. I tried restarting the computer too.

Help.

As well as ensuring that Origin isn't being blocked by your security software, try clearing the local Origin cache and see if this has any effect.&nbsp;

Some ISPs limit the amount of data you can download from certain hosts. I've had the same issue when downloading system updates on my work laptop.

If this is the underlying issue, you can go around this by using a VPN.
