Download Mass Effect (1) through Origin?
I have a retail version of Mass Effect ⚽ but have lost the DVD - however I still have the manual with the licence key on it. I have registered this with EA, but it does not seem to show up in Origin...

Since ME1 was a pre-Origin game it doesn't automatically load into Origin; you can, however, enter the license key into Origin manually.

I tried both the suggestions above - reloading did not add the game. Also, when I enter the licence key into Origin it tells me that it is not valid. I have tried it with and without the dashes. I did however manage to enter the key at the EA website where it told me I had registered it - but no matter where I look I can't see anyway to download the client!
Any other ideas I can try?

At this point I would try contacting an EA Game Advisor and explaining the situation to see if there is anything they can do.

Older retail copies of Mass Effect are not compatible with Origin. I managed to get my copy on origin by using the live chat feature. For some reason I had to make a Pogo account, but I eventually managed to register the game just fine.
I have a question for EA: Is it technically legal to borrow someone else's copy of Mass Effect as long as you use your own seriel key?
You have to contact EA directly via email or live chat to have it added and it does require a pogo account. This is how i got my retail ME and CnC3 added to my origin account
