[EA app] Game Launcher Looping After Clicking Start

I played the legendary mass effect 1 for 6 hours the other day and now i cant play since the launcher is looping after clicking start or resume. It lods a bit then goes back to the menu area and also restarts steam. I bought it there now im thinking of refunding since ive been working on this for 5 hours looking for a fix

  • Thank you for following-up I have now fixed it after 48 hours of painstakingly searching the internet for answers.

I had to download a manual launcher installer and RE-INSTALL, the launcher, just so I could play the game, which STEAM already downloaded with no issue.

This only makes me dislike the current EA launcher more. Origin worked well enough.

Again fix the launcher, new buyers of the LE will probably encounter similar issues. For good measure, I also had to make even more storage space despite having enough just to make it sure that the game will run as intended. Additionally. I used a community mod to remove built-in, in-game launcher so that it facilitates my selection of the game faster without the risk of rebooting loop error.

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"   (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    Then:

    • Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "intensive" > Browse.
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
    • Restart the PC > Reinstall the newest version of EA app from here.
    • Test.
  • I am at wit's end, I've tried all the fixes I found online but NOW I AM DESPERATE, I paid for this game through steam. I was only able to install this game by actually rummaging around for a desktop install of the EA launcher. It installed fine and eventually, played for 6 hours!

But when I tried to play again today, it wont even let me resume when I go through the legendary launcher. It loads the game for a few minutes, then cycles back to the launcher, even restarts my steam launcher for some reason.

It now tags that I've been playing for 8 hours even though the additional two hours were just me opening the launcher to try and troubleshoot. IVE BEEN AT THIS FOR 5 HOURS! Im about to refund this game that I got on sale!
