[EA app] Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe replaced with Standard

Since the new, not particularly welcomed EA App, my Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition has been replaced with the standard edition. I entered a 2nd code I bought and it gave me a pop up for the activation of the Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition and prompted me to download it. However my library still only shows the standard edition. Note that I have owned the Deluxe edition for years and I bought that second code to see if somehow it had been reverted into a standard edition. But no, the deluxe edition is missing altogether from the EA App. How is this acceptable? And no, the DLCs are not all available with the standard. With the DIgital Deluxe came three documentaries, the soundtrack and the digital artbook. Now when I download the standard edition because I cannot access my Digital Deluxe edition, all of these are missing. People paid for that extra content and taking it away is very clearly a breach of the contract made at the time of the sale.

And on a side note, I cannot find the deluxe edition of Mass Effect 3 in the store as well. What is the point of moving from Origin to EA App if all it's doing is taking away the content people bought?

Just because these games are old does not give you the right to take away what people paid for. Or just bring back Origin at least it wasn't missing content.

Just add these deluxe editions back and the bonus content that has now been taken away. Which, remember, people paid for.

  • Hi @SuperPupper, the studio didnt take away anything players paid for. The artwork for these games was replaced with a standard version image. All content for the game is now free for anyone who ownes the game to download in the EA app.

You wont see the deluxe edition image because it is no longer there. When you install the base game, you should see a checkbox that has all content you own that can be installed. If you do not own it yet, you can claim it in the manage add ons. Nothing was actually removed from the EA app.

Some players are reporting they cannot see DLC in the manage addons for multiple games which is being investigated by the EA app team. It isn't a breach of contract. All of the content is there for all players to download and play.
