I am very understanding about programming because its easy to create a bug when fixing another in a very complex program, and I imagine its the same here. I am frustrated however, I have gotten a lot of good hours out of this game, but I don't know how things can completely break like this, not sure what is actually under the hood of the last update but yea. I am not looking for a refund or anything, I just want it fixed so I can keep going, figured I would post here since your thread is hot. Meanwhile back to doing my college classwork I guess.
BTW on another thread of my issue they did contact support and the advice was reinstall the game on the PS4, didn't work. ☹️
Sadly clearing the cache, reloading, new game file, etc are going to be VERY common answers especially if you're stuck with having to go through the ladder of techs...
Depending on the structure, you're likely to get this
Level 1 - Reading from a script with no variances
Level 2 - Reading from a different script
Level 3 - Actual troubleshooting
Level 4 / Engineer 1 - Advanced Troubleshooting / early debugging processes
- 9 years agoSince I'm a field IT guy I know what a help desk agent will but you through, so those solutions don't surprise me. I also have tried the ones I could do without losing my save data and they didn't work, I am betting there is another issue since this didn't happen until the patch so no matter how many times I reinstall that patch, I am guessing it will keep happening.

@Sollabe I'm a IT tech as well, have been for 22 years on top of being a game modder / scripter / hardware debugger etc. Most of the scripting errors I see in MEA are rudimentary ones that can be avoided completely easily someone just hasn't bothered with all the scripting or is just flat out hopeless at scripting. At the very least you could say extremely inexperienced in which case said person should of been working alongside 2-3 people that are experienced and EA really are responsible for making sure the team is up to the job they are given. Likewise the dev team should of been telling EA that they need XYZ persons to do a competent job so the devs aren't blameless either. From my own experiences as a scripter the only times I've ever seen work as shoddy as in Andromeda is when a team has not possessed the necessary personnel or has been rushed either through poor time management or higher ups pushing the date forward. Either way neither the devs or EA are blameless here and both need to man up and shoulder the blame equally.

Just found this, I won't comment as I'll end up writing the longest post in history so I'll just leave the link for you all to see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfLAh_OrTGc
