Facial Reconstruction Causes Crash

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How long has this issue been happening? Always Happens
Which single-player mode are you playing? Standard.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to open Facial Reconstruction.

Attempting to open the Facial Reconstruction feature on the Tempest causes my game to crash.

I use a PS4 on the current patch (Andromeda is in its latest version/has no pending updates, according to my PS4). I've tried to use Facial Reconstruction at least twice; the patch messed up the appearance of my Sara in an NG+ and initial CC could not fix the issues (increased scar intenseness and lipstick brightness) so I tested Facial Reconstruction with my standard (non-NG+) Scott save. The game starts to load the CC screen and then crashes.

I hope we can find some answers to fix the problem!

    Here’s a quote from Bioware’s press release:

    “Our last update, 1.10, was the final update for Mass Effect: Andromeda. There are no planned future patches for single-player or in-game story content.”

    Basically, No. Unfortunately they’ve abandoned the single-player game any development is focused on multiplayer content.

    I had to re-load from an earlier save and rush through several missions to get back up to my current level/story progress. I picked the character build I liked best and just stuck with it. I avoid the MedBay on the Tempest the plague.

    I still play often and I like Andromeda, but I save like a paranoid person because any new bugs are highly unlikely to be patched.

    UPDATE 2021:

    I'm on Xbox and I don't know if it will work on Playstation, but I fixed the problem! For me on Xbox, As I was loading my character in the Reconstruction, I pressed home button then went back into game and kept doing it until it loaded my character, and now I can finally access the Facial reconstruction! Hope this can be help to anybody that is still playing this game after 4-5 years, especially those who have Game Pass.

    Can confirm that in 2022 this worked for me on PS5. Just kept clicking in and out of the home button while the character loaded, and then when it finally did I was able to make my adjustments with no crash.
