Only time will tell, i'm giving it 'till the end of the year. If no DLC is out by the end of the year, then its truly dead.
That's a generous margin. I think it's also concerning that there hasn't been any major multiplayer DLC. I think we should have had some big map packs by now.
Now that you've mentioned MP map packs, i do remember they told in an interview before launch that they'll have map packs out after launch, pretty much like ME 3 had. Yet...nothing
ME3's 6 multiplayer starter maps were supplemented by 7 additional maps and the original maps gained 'hazard' variants. 13 maps.
MEA started with 5 base maps.
So far 2 maps have been added to rotation, with 2 more mission maps in use and a further map teased. So 10 so far.
To say 'nothing' has been added is wholly inaccurate.
I'll be honest: if we've been waiting all this time (and more) for a "nothing is coming out" announcement I'd be pretty pissed. It makes no sense to have all this secrecy around... nothingness. That's the thing that still gives me a little hope.
