Game locks up when entering Rannoch

Hi, I'm trying to get answers about a tech support issue I'm having with Mass Effect 3, but I'm not finding the info I need on the forums. Can you please assist? I'm running the latest patch on PS3, and the game freezes up and crashes my PS3 right after the introduction sequence for the mission where you are about to land on Rannoch, Commander Shepard is standing in the Normandy's bridge talking to Joker about the fact that
there sure a lot of enemies out there. Joker laughs it off and says that with the Normandy's
stealth drive engaged, the only way for the Geth to notice you is if you all start singing
the Russian national anthem. As soon as the game goes into the video showing all the ships, the game locks up. Please help! Is this a known bug? Thanks

    If a game always locks up in the same specific spot, you may have data corruption. If you installed the game to your PS3's hard drive, reinstall it.

    Either the game is corrupt or your savegame - have you tried loading another savegame that's maybe a bit earlier?

    I reinstalled the game, but that didn't have any effect, the crash still occurs.

    I'll try to load from a previous save next and see what happens, but I doubt that will work. Also, no matter which characters I choose to play with in my squad, the PS3 still screeches to hault as soon as we ententer the homeworld and the Video tried to play all those space ships in battle.

    Can you try on another console if loading another savegame doesn't work? Maybe your console acts up.

    I'm having this same problem only on PC. Activating the console at Rannoch Base locks the game up. Reinstalled, used separate careers, earlier saves, campaign restarts... none of it works. Game locks up at the exact same place--activating that console.

    There are many possible cause games to crash or freeze on PCs and Macs. To troubleshoot these issues, please perform these steps. Make sure to perform all of these in order, so that you can isolate the issue:

    Basic Steps:
    1. Check the minimum system requirements of the game against the customer's computer (Windows / Mac) and update any drivers that are out-of-date.
    2. Unplug all USB devices (aside from the mouse and keyboard) and try the game again.
    3. Disable the Origin in-game overlay (IGO).
    4. Update the game.
    5. Repair the game install.
    6. Update your system. (Windows) (Mac)

    Advanced Steps:
    1. Run the game as admin.
    2. Check Windows compatibility with the game.
    3. Temporarily disable UAC. (Instructions found in this article)
    4. Advise the customer to perform a clean boot.
    5. Create a new admin account (Windows / Mac).
    6. Turn off DEP for the game.
    7. Run CHKDSK.
    8. Run the System File Checker, then uninstall and reinstall the game.
