Haven't played ME3 in a while, and downloaded origin, and the game today, but keeps giving me this error when trying to install. when i open the install log heres what a got:

i have tried to clean install origin again by delete all cache and such. no avail same error
FIXED:
Jesus christ Origin, you really gotta fix this sht.. did some researched apparently this error's been around forever, and for many other games too..
gonna post solution, so that other ppl know how to fix it, as well as if I run into this again, I can re-reference.
AND why the hell did someone move my post from new technical issues post to this dead post??? I posted there because I wanted help on this issue!
SOLUTION:
anyways here's the solution...
GDF error needs to be fixed with regedit. apparently there's an issue with registry and the number of back slashes in the string value. so we have to manually edit this.
1) win key + r
2) type regedit and then press enter
3) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4) then to SOFTWARE
5) then to BioWare
6) then to Mass Effect 3
your registry for it NEEDS to look like this!
If you installed your game in another dir change the values in the string accordingly. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE TWO BACKSLASHES!!
