Genesis Mass Effec 2 using Mass Effect 1 save

This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.

So, I imported a save file from ME1 to ME2 to start playing. This is the first time I do this after I purchased the Genesis DLC for ME2.

But when the game started, instead of Miranda talking about the choices I made in the first game about the Council of the Citadel, she just makes a generic comment about how I made "all the right choices" and then the Genesis comic starts up, and immediately talks about the choices I made.

Is this normal? (first time using a ME1 save file on ME2 after getting the Genesis DLC, I have started games with ME2 with the Genesis DLC and started ME2 games with save file from ME1 but never a ME2 game with a ME1 save file and the Genesis DLC installed all at the same time)

Also, for some reason while the Genesis comic filled up all my choices already, it asked me if I wanted Udina or Anderson as humanity representative on the Council, even if I already did that on ME1, and it didn't ask me any of the other questions.

The main purpose of the Genesis comic is to allow Gamers who didn't played ME1 to make the major decisions of ME1.

The only decision you can make if you import a ME1 character is the Andeson VS Udina decision, all other decision will be read out of the ME1 character save-game you imported.

Or in other words, what you experienced is normal behaviour.

If you want to change some decisions from ME1 but keep others you need to use the "Gibbed Save game editor". Here you can find a guide.

I don't have any mods, just the DLCs for ME2 you can buy at the Origin store.

How exactly do you run a repair game?
