Hello, im having a Graphical Bug in Mass Effect 1: Everytime I enter the Peak Station on Noveria or land on Ilos the Textures of Shepard, my Squadmates and all my Enemies dissappear and they are jus...
I recently became indoctrinated into the ME trilogy and am on my first play-through of the first game on my brand new custom gaming PC (my second play-through overall). Yesterday I discovered the glitch that's apparently been bothering FX processor users for years: the disappearing textures in the central station of Peak 15 on Noveria. I've heard this glitch also affects the entire planet of Ilos, but I haven't gotten there yet. Has an actual fix for this problem surfaced yet? Does anyone know of a configuration in an .ini file that can fix it? I'm aware of the "workaround" for this that involves using a command prompt within the game, and I've used that. The problem is that it completely removes shadow effects and makes everything look ugly. I'm more interested in something that can actually fix the disappearing textures bug permanently, without affecting the performance or any other graphic effects.
I find it strange that this problem seems to be associated with newer AMD processors, because texture rendering is supposed to be done by the GPU and not the CPU.
Any assistance or necessary information regarding this common issue would be greatly appreciated. If you know of a solution that would meet my specified goal, I implore you to share it with me.
FYI, my processor is an AMD 8-Core FX-8320 and my graphics card is a GeForce GTX 960. All the right drivers are installed and up-to-date.
I also have 16gb of RAM. Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
And for some reason this came up as a reply to another post even though I posted it as an entirely separate question.
Well this website sucks.
