HELP!! Mass Effect 1 (PC) keeps on crashing every time

After i land on Eden Prime during the First mission the keeps on crashing showing a pop up saying the "Mass effect has stopped working" My Specs are as follow: Hp Probook 4530s 8GB RAm  Intel Cor...

Well that is kind of dumb because I can actually play ME3 with no problems, I only get those problems with ME1 and ME2

Whether it was dumb of Bioware to make the entry point lower on sequels isn't the point.  The point is, ME-1 doesn't even try to do anything on the poor smoke and mirrors trickery that is the best Intel manages to offer.
