Help using registration code in origin
I bought the game on amazon.com, and the transaction went through. I can see the product key right there, but I am not able to use it in origin. I try to activate it, and it says that the product code is not valid.
The key that I got from amzon is a series of five four digit numbers, and it looks like this. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Is this code not valid for origin? I am not able to use it on steam, so I guess that it is for origin. Do I need to wait a certain amount of time before the code is valid? What is it that I am missing?
Usually you should be able to download the game from Amazon. But you can also get in contact with an EA Game Advisor. They can add the game to your Origin account. You need to log in with your Origin account on the help page and then choose "Product", "Issue Type", and "Platform" to see the contact options. Please choose phone or chat as contact option.
The original Mass Effect game is older than Origin which is why our Advisors have to activate it for you. Please be aware that they will need proof of purchase (e.g. the receipt you got from Amazon).
