How to avoid a romance with Liara???

I have a female Shepard character and I've noticed that she is close with both Kaidan and Liara. But, even though I like lesbians, I wouldn't like Shepard to end up in a romance with Liara. Liara was...

Hmm, I think you might be past the point of no return, once you get the chance to be with Liara. The unofficial fan wiki has a (fairly spoilery) guide to the Kaiden romance, that might help give helpful info if you want to check it out?
