See Dragon Age: They made Dragon Age: Inqusisition with ONE possible ending. They just have choosen one ending with a little bit "cosmetic chances depeding on your decisions in the further two parts". Like: Is Alistair king or Warden. 😉
Why should they not do the same with Mass Effect?

Well I played all 3 dragon age games, I vaguely remembered the first one was good, the second one wasnt, DAI was ok. I cant even remember the story as it didnt attract me as much as ME. I think they changed the protagonist, the 3rd one as well. I can hardly remember the characters( with the exception of morigan cause shes so hot with claudia black's voice... man... Apologies I digress...) As much as some fans loved dragon age, for me, in my personal scale of games, it's not there at the top with the ME trilogy. If you wish to create a game like Dragon age, different protagonist, a little disjointed, am sure some would like that. I wont. To me that would have devastated the ME legacy more than MEA would lol. For me when people mention gotham, I think of batman, when people mentioned ME I think of Shepard, Robin will never replace batman, even if he calls himself nightwing and gets a darker costume. Calling a show gotham and I get only robin running around saying "Holy Moly" being a nice boy just doesnt really do it for me... That's just my opinion, feel free to disagree but that's how I feel.

I agree. I hate the idea of Mass Effect taking the direction of a new protag each game. Each single trilogy game as a stand alone isn't nearly as good as the entire trilogy together. Developing that connection with the main char (Shepard) and crew mates only happens over several games. Have never felt the sa e connection with any of the Dragon Age chars, not even the ones who have been in more than one game - because with a new protag its a different friendship. Never enjoyed dragon age as much as mass effect. I like it well enough but theres something to be said for keeping the same protag across multiple games for forging that deeper emotional connection.
