Wait.
On April 4 BioWare is making some sort of announcement regarding the feedback they've received on Andromeda. Depending on this, more patches and fixes may be forthcoming.
Also, prices on the game may drop even more. No need to pay full price for the game at this point since it is clearly unfinished.
Depends on you. I personally could NEVER wait to play a ME game and in general it's a really good game. Does it have a few bugs, even a couple big ones? Yes. Is it completable? Yes. I managed 97%, and the few remaining task are all unmarked randomly generated ones that are either bugged at this point or I've just been extremely unlucky with encounters.
Some bugs popped up in other quests but I always managed also thanks to this community.
It just depends on you and how much you wanna play. I loved it and am super bummed out now that I finished it, I seriously crave more.
I will, however, definitely wait on improvements for the NG+ cause there's no way I don't do 100% on that.

I'm grinding for level 123. lol
I did 73% on the first play through and 57% on the second.
I'm in the third now.
I do different side missions and make different choices each time so I am getting the full experience.
Level 73 now and the grind continues.
I may have to change my build to an XP boosting build. leveling is SLOW after about level 50.

The "sort of announcement" on 4'th of april i will pay close attention to. But another reason for waiting is that i really enjoyed the earlier ME universe, and i don't really wanna ruin it with bugs everywhere. I'd rather wait and have a better experience later on. But i do also have the "i wanna play it now" feeling, but from the looks of things i'm probably better off waiting a bit.

I guess I have must have been rather lucky then besides the Docking area glitch during the firefly mission which I managed to bypass by going elsewhere on the nexus(had contagion active before firefly which apparently allowed me to enter the Nexus.) I experienced only 2 handful of crashes mostly during landing cutscene sequences which froze the game and got me stuck. Even though the game itself was running fine it were just the cutscences that wouldn't end. Judging by what my task manager told be about the status of the game. The application was responsive.
The game is rather solid in my opinion but as previous poster said it's still more in a beta stage while fully playable there are many tiny things that ruin the immersion a little bit.
Be it some animation glitches. "They're actually not to bad with few exceptions. Of course they still can't compete with the ME trilogy their animations not by a long shot."
Or some weird AI behavior of your squad mates during combat giving you the feel you're having silly robots running around with you. Barely seeking cover and often just standing there or getting teleported etc.
On an esthetic level I probably dislike most that almost all npcs look identical they all wear the same armor and got the same heads and colors. Even some side quest npcs look alike unlike in ME trilogy where each npc had it's own unique style sometimes model even. I hope they will strongly improve upon that. At least the main story npcs are different looking but it's still a huge blow to the immersion previous games had.
That and fps drops aside were it for me during my play through. I feel they need to adjust the performance a little more.
Usually it's always a good strategy to wait as the title gets less expensive. If you wanna risk it you can give it a shot it's still a fairly good game and upcoming patches should probably arise shortly. Still in it's current state the game does have some flaws.

I must admit it .
I've tried since its release to be positive.
I was saying to myself that animations were not that important , that voices were not that important .I've tryed to remember me all the good moments in the ME trilogy.
But seriously , this game is shame.Just look at the bug report section , for real , 2000 Topics in one week !
So many unfixed problems
I'm personnaly stuck in the game after 50 hours playing it , cause a script is missing , story can't continue and I will have to start from scratch when fixed.
Save system is a shame. It crashes when you are driving the Mako , there is no quick save system wtf ?
Voices are so unimersive , animations also are. Some NPC are just ... have no word , they are sooooo buggy , freezing , shaking , head spinning
Sound spacialization is messed up , Romances are bugged , research system too .Some spells don't do nothing , combo's don't trigger.
Some armors level req is messed up.That is Alpha/Beta Stage.
So yeah , at this point , just play something else in 2017 , Animation and facial expressions ? These are just fine , it's all the other problems that are a no go
The saddest thing il all that , is taht this game is a diamond , it's so huge , it's so beautifull , but it's cover with stools.
And the worst of it all , it's that EA/Bioware are mute , they do not communicate apart to say "Wait 4th April we'll fix it"I got my lesson here . I'll never do it again and will prevent any people I like to do it to.
Such a Shame.
