krogan charachters in multiplayer too sluggish

Hi,

Does anyone else feel the Krogan characters are too slow?

I seem to die a lot more with them as it's harder to dodge/run away and they are not actually strong enough to take all that damage.

also the melee, when i use it i almost never hit because enemies just move around it...

and lastly, the character itself is so big it block 40% of the screen making it harder to aim.

so... in conclusion, Krogan are supposed to be really cool but really aren't ☹️

I purposely do my best to ensure my krogan team mates are getting their blood rage in if they are playing well as a team player..   If they are being a complete a$$ though, then my kindness changes to F.U. 🙂

Play the Krogan, get to grips with blood rage, and above all see how hard it is for them to hide behind low cover..  there is a skill to playing a Krogan, and yes they do seem to run around melee'ing mobs a lot, but once you've been there, you forever understand after that.

Now.. Asari Adept.   She's a bit of an animal damage wise.. but ohhhhhhhhh the human kineticist gives the asari adept a run for their money hands down.  imho.  i only started playing kineticist last night.. and she's incredibly powerful once ascended.

As for the krogan that leapt a great distance.. could have been a Krogan Vanguard you witnessed using a skill and it may have animated poorly on your screen?

as I said, I've got em all unlocked (krogans that is) and will give them a try here soon ...don't have the kineticist unlocked yet so can't say how beastly she is. I've got a beast of a machine here and there was no lag, tearing or any other weird animation glitching happening far as I could see on my end which is why I suspected hax after the match ended. Seeing as I didn't record this or jot down the player's name, I didn't report the incident and just chocked it up to more Krogan OPness :P

  • @Qwii01 you need to relax about that "kill stealing" sometimes it happens because everyone's trigger happy.

In gold it definitely matters less as if you're not with the team you'll just be dead and then it's just everyone shooting everything in sight just to keep up.

i'm basically saying what @Skauron said just in a simpler way i guess. it's a coop game you're supposed to help a friend out. and again it only really matters slightly in silver and definitely in gold.

Bronze is just for leveling up your characters and until you unlock better guns, and is now super easy after the updates so it's quite easy to solo, maybe you should try that?

you'd get all the kills and like 60000 points.

  • Here some fun facts. Seems the turians and salarians have a shorter dash distance.

There is simply too much focus with some gamers trying just to be number 1 of 4 on the score table.  They will do anything and I mean anything at times to ensure they kill the last 1% of an enemy health that you just killed 99% of so they get their name showing for the kill.  Sadly this happens a lot and just leaves you with that WTF feeling.

However a a game goes though my own personal focus is never my score but more of a team surviving and succeeding stance.  When I say succeeding I also mean a full extraction where everyone is in the extraction circle as the wave7 timer ends too

how many times though do you see the person who is #2 on the score table is nowhere near the circle and is out farming as many kills as they can rather than being a team player and standing with the rest where they should be at the end?

Krogans are big and bulky and struggle with finding good cover in the extraction circle at times.  If you have stealth grid. Help a krogan out 🙂

i have played  every class in multiplayer but I will tell you this a krogan relies much of the time on blood rage for survivability and that means keeping up a kill streak so I would advise everyone to playa krogan to understand better why they seem to be intent on killing with frequency.  If blood rage stops they have to get 2-3 more Melee kills before they get it back.  So don't hate them too much if they slam into your kills. 🙂

Maybe you are reading too much into it? I go around killing everything on the map and helping out team mates constantly.. but its not a conscious thing to steal kills.. its to keep everyone alive and get through the mission quickly. I wasn't even aware there was such a thing as kill stealing in a co-op game 😮

  • @Nykara360 Stealing kills - or actually points - usually exists for snipers. "Back in my days" I played with lots of peeps purposely waiting for me to take down a shield of an observer and there's a brief pause before I can take down their health bar. Just in that moment, they start to shoot. But meeh, it doesn't matter anymore once you've done the challenges.

Ahh I guess it depends what char your playing too. I hate observers. I play the human kineticist and observes drain shields fast even when you pop up for a sec to let off a power. My bonus relies on me keeping my shields up so ppl can help me kill those * all they like after my lance drops the shields lol
