As you wrote - junk. So why even bother?
My firsy play, I tried to kill everything that stood in my way. Now, I mostly just ride through (or around).
@mrufka_z That's actually my problem. If I just ignore them, I'm ignoring a gameplay feature. I mean, if you don't care about these sites, then the whole map gets even more empty, the 'Inquisition illness' is still present here. But if you want to explore these - sometimes there are actually unmarked "Task" category quests -, it can be a bit tricky because of the lack of heating panels and ammo crates at these little camps. From a lore perspective, at remnant sites, it's understandable, and it's suggested that kett can also endure hardcore environments - yet sometimes they do have heaters.
