mass effect mission repetition

hello

so i have this problem in mass effect 2 where i go to save the archangel and he gets shot by a plane. after defeating the plane the mission ends and the game just exits to its mass effect legendary edition again and again due to which im kinda stuck on this mission

Try to repair the game.

(EA app: Game Library > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
