Losing Credits, Medi-Gel, and Points in singleplayer

Started a new playthrough of ME, and after doing the "From Ashes" DLC, I end up losing about 60k credits (down to 3k) all my medigel and suddenly points disappeared (had 5 pending, leveled up and wen...

On difficulty levels higher than normal, if you use the resume option instead of reloading, the game takes a bunch of your credits and resources. It might happen even on normal, I just didn't notice it until I was playing on insanity.
