Mass Effect 1 crashes at Therum

I had no trouble landing and haven't experienced a crash.
If you open MassEffectConfig.exe (located in the same folder as Mass Effect.exe) you will see a Repair option. I thought that there was one in Origin itself, but I can't find it.
I've had a look inside masseffectconfig - it's pretty useless in my opinion. There's an option to delete local shader files, and to create a firewall exception, and icon creation.
I can guess and say that I might be missing a local cutscene file, or something (had a look here C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect\BioGame\CookedPC but can't find where the apporiate files are). I think a reinstall may be in order.
