Mass Effect 2 lag spikes

Question

HELP!!!I'm having lots of lag spikes in Mass Effect 2. The weird thing is that I hardly experiences any lag when I played the game using the older components in my computer. Only now that I've upgraded my computer's hardware, has this problem started to occur. I'm running the game using Steam but it can't be the source of this problem because I'm experiencing the same lagging when running ME3 using Origin.My computer specs:Core: Intel Core i7-3770K 3,50GHzGraphics: Asus&nbsp;NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti &nbsp;RAM: Corsair 4Gb x 4Solid- state drive: OCZ-Vertex 2 120Gb SSDGame worked fine using the exact same, full performance in-game setting when I used to have some old MSI 2,49GHz dual core, 2Gb RAM and a GeForce GT 8600Seriously... Please help. This is just frustrating.

Even if you have good components, have you update correctly any drivers ?

Update all of your drivers, especially the one for your graphics card. Make sure the settings are to your liking in the graphicscard control panel as well. If that fails to improve performance, try repairing your game installation through the configuration utility. Hopefully either one of those options will work, if not, try a clean installation.

I forgot to mention in the description that yes, my drivers are up to date. Just updated graphics card today
