Mass Effect 2 Origin Version: Monolingual? Why's that?

Hello board members, hello community. I bought ME 2 on DVD when it came out. My (German) retail version is multilingual and includes English, German, and various European languages other than those....

Oh ...

I knew the INI file, but I was rather certain that Origin only installs the German audio and text files. If they don't intend us to switch languages, why would the let us download the other ones? I wouldn't have expected this to work, but it apparently does, judging by the other thread.
