Here I am, 5 years later and I'm currently experiencing this very same issue. This is my first ever playthrough of the Mass effect series. I'm trying to enter the dish (walking down the ramp to the entrance) and I can almost get inside before the system crashes. Hopefully I can employ a similar strategy and get on with my life haha...
