Mass Effect 2 won't launch (Windows 10 x64)

I reinstalled game around 8 times , tried without saves and with cloud sync off , either when i installed it or when i edited files and repaired game. Tried clean boot, same results. Atm Origin is running in compatibility mode (Windows 7) and as administrator, everytime i run Origin it says that i'm running it in compatibility mode and that some things might not work well. If i start game without saves and with save cloud turned off nothing happens.

Yes I understand that you tried a lot of things, that's why we need a base (repaired game) that is unchanged so we both know what was changed and what not.

Also, disable the compatibility mode for Origin but don't disable the Administrator mode.

Let the "Save" folder be empty as well.

Use this guide to allow the "ActivationUI.exe" (under ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries\Core" to communicate through the Windows firewall. 

Now clean your Origin cache. 
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

    - close Origin completely. (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
    - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    - Type or copy  "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) > hit ENTER
    - Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder. (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
    - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    - Type or copy "%AppData%" (without quotes)  > hit ENTER
    - Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder
    - Delate the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder
    - In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on the word "AppData".
    - Open the "Local" folder
    - Delate the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder
    - Restart your PC. > test

If that don't works, press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.

- Typ "regedit" (without quotes) into the opening folder > ENTER

- navigate to this key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\BioWare\mass effect 2" and post a screenshot.

No problem, whenever you have time.

Do the flowing steps in the direction I wrote them. If one suggestion don't works go to the next one:

Close Origin > disable your internet connection. (pull the plug or disable the network adapter in the Windows device Manager.)

Disable the real time scanner of your antivirus software. (you use only one antivirus software, right?)

Start Origin, logon to Origin (also necessary in offline mode) > Start ME2 

Run the "MassEffect2.exe" and the ME2Game.exe under "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries" as Administrator > test.

Run the "MassEffect2.exe" and the ME2Game.exe in Windows 7 compatibility mode > test

Disable the Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Go to your "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\directx\redist" folder and delete all files wit a *.cab file extension.

Then run the "DXSETUP.exe" as Administrator > reboot > test.

Go to your "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\physx\redist" folder and run the "PhysX-9.12.0613-SystemSoftware.msi" > repair > reboot > test.

Go to your "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\vc\vc2005\redist" folder and run the "vcredist_x86.exe" as Administrator > reboot > test.

close Origin completely.

Go to your "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries" folder and delete the "MassEffect2.exe" the "ME2Game.exe" and the "core" folder

Go to your "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2" folder and delete the "data" folder.

Go to your "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2" folder and delete the "Binaries" the "BIOGame" and the "Save" folders.

Start Origin as Administrator > In the Game Library at ME2 click "download" (it will only download a few files). > test.

If that still don't helps, rename the executables again.

- Rename "MassEffect2.exe" to "MassEffect2Launcher.exe"
- Rename "ME2Game.exe" to "MassEffect2.exe" > restart Origin > test.

You said you reinstalled ME2 several times, did you tried to install it to your C drive?

Ok, ima do that now. It was originally on partition C (SSD Drive), tried on both HDD-s. Yes i reinstalled it many times, repaired, all sorts of things that came to my mind. Rename thing only targets Origin to start MEgame , on Windows 7 you have to rename that file if you wanna start game in origin, otherwise it won't start. Coming back in couple minutes, gonna try you'r advice.

Well, we covered about everything in this thread that can be done from the user side short of reinstalling Windows. 

The last suggestion I have is to create a new Administrator User account in Windows 10 and try the installation there.

If that also don't works I would suggest to contact support again and let them have a close look at your account and the game activation state.

Game is working without any problem on Windows 7, tried it on my pc at work. Last thing that i can do is reinstall windows, its painfull but that's my last option. Many people have problems with ME 2 and Windows 10, some of them managed to fix this and some of us didn't, but i think Bioware and EA should fix this problem with some patch. :/
