As you can probably guess i have the same problem and incidentally i'm an European player too. In the thread i have opened i have the exact same issue. 1 month without a single connection to EA servers while i did not have the problem before. EA Help center did not bother to reply to my polite email so i'm stuck like you with a game i paid and cannot use at all since SP DLCs requires connection to EA servers. Sigh....i sincerely never had a problem with EA before this but i must admit now i'm disappointed.
Yeah i tried all the fixes that were suggested and still no luck. I can only voice my support to this problem and empathize with you. Let's hope this will be fixed soon.
The sad thing is, I see a new post on this issue over and over again and no one has a solution. It's been almost 3 weeks without a reply on my case. EA are ignoring customers and they should at least attempt to fix the problem. It could just be a simple fix on their side as we already know this is a European problem. Is this like an attack on Europe or something? LOL
