mass effect 3 servers unavailable

hi there

just downloaded the beta ea desktop to give it a try, and when i go into ME3 its telling me the servers are unavailable please try later, it did the same for ME2.  i did try using origin just in case and it came up with the same thing.

so is there an issue which involves the release of the beta ea desktop, or did someone just not bother making the servers available
