Many thanks for your response. I am delighted and you will no doubt be pleased to hear that I have regained my access to the multiplayer games and I am now looking forward to giving it a go again. I had forgotten just how much fun it was ;0
Not sure quite what the problem was, in truth - I tried a few other games with an online element - Borderlands, Defiance etc - which appeared to work, then loaded up ME3 and it worked first time. Perhaps it was just a temporary thing with a server outage or something on previous attempts to connect.
