Few extra steps I have done:
CMD as admin:
sfc /scannow
=Got error log
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Ran sfc /scannow again
= "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"
Followed instructions per https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors.
Still not loading :/
@Delgorath, I've tried with new user accounts, still no joy, same failure to launch.
I was wondering, I have my Origin folder installed in my D: drive (my C: is a SSD which I keep pretty clean, bar system and Adobe CS) alongside my Steam library, my media and assorted junk. I know it's probably nothing, but I was wondering if that might contribute to the problem in any way?
I know enough to know I'm at the end of my skillset when it comes to troubleshooting without further direction from on high. S'shame, cause I was away for a week before the 1.07 update, so I've not had the chance to play in nearly 2 weeks now. That said, I appreciate that the customer service guys in EA are doing their best, and there's absolutely no point snapping at them (been on the other side of the phone plenty of times), just frustrating as you can image, especially avoiding spoilers :P
