Mass Effect DLC problems
Hi, I have problems with authorizing my DLC's for ME 3, while i'm getting connected to EA online and can multiplayer. But without any multi DLC's either. As you see in background, it is connected t...
Omega isn't listed on BSN with anyone who has it sadly. It's not listed for me either (although it is in Origin itself). So that's "normal".
The only thing I can think of is a problem with your Internet connection, maybe a firewall problem or something so that it can't authorize the DLCs (for which is has to be online). Are you using dial-up or cellular internet maybe? Can you otherwise check with another Internet connection, maybe at a friend or set up a DMZ in your router?
Connections for ME 3 in my firewall are opened, I even tried turning firewal off and it didn't helped either. I don't know how it could be connection problem if I can access multiplayer and play it without problem (but with none of dlc). But I will try messing a little with router then.
Yeah, I can't explain it either, why Multiplayer works, but the DLC authorization apparently not. Maybe those are handled by two different servers. But the only thing then could be either a firewall that's blocking the IP or ports required to authorize the DLC or your Internet Service Provider.
It would be great if these ports numbers could be found somewhere. I tracked two forum posts, when someone gave some port numbers, but it didn't work too. I will try little more, but this keeps to be more and more frustrating.
I can empathize how frustrating this must be. I'm afraid I'm out of further ideas and usually, you shouldn't need to open up any ports for the DLC authorization check, hence my guess that maybe the authorization server itself is blocked somehow.
