Mass Effect legendary Edition failing to launch

After the new EA launcher update on the 27th MELE is failing to launch. I cannot launch it from the launcher (ironic) and launching it from steam gives me an error. Please anyone help it worked before the update so I have no clue what could be the issue.

    This issue is solved. I reverted back to origin now it works fine as before.

  • I have this problem as well, only I was forced to change to the EA App and reverting no longer seems to be an option.

    Hi, the App recovery did not help me, and reverting is no longer an option - re-installing Origin just forces me back to EA App. The repair option gives the same 'try again later' message. Origin worked just fine, what happened?

    Hi, appreciate the advice, but my launcher is not set to run as Administrator, never was. Any other ideas?

    @seanmark1 

    Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

    Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and alos Afterburner and similar software is disabled.

    Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.

    If that don't helps please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

    Hi, 

    I'm not sure what happened or why, but there was a step on another thread that seems to have helped - going into Region / Administrative Tools in Windows and checking 'Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support' I did that, rebooted, and MELE is launching as expected, My language/location has always been English/US so I'm not sure what that had to do with anything, anyway I'm good now, thanks for your time, appreciate it 

  • Seems to happen in discrete time periods.  I'm guessing they have some cancerous always on DRM and its server is as much of a dumpsterfire as their app so it's down for large chunks at a time.
