Mass Effect Trilogy 6 disc set - Why "Download"?

Why the download?  I installed ONLY Mass Effect ⚽ - using the TWO- DVDs, which it recognized and asked for the

second one- BUT it took just over  2 3/4 hours to install.  Why have the DVDs if it has to 'download' from any site?

Why no option to install ONLY from the DVDs?  The box shows a total requirement of  15 Gbs hard drive space.

Each DVD holds 4.7 Gbs --  So what's the deal?

    This is a bug in origin that has been around for ages, and I'm surprised they haven't fixed it yet. I believe you can get it to install from the disc by restarting Origin. Keep in mind that even the install from disc is labelled as "download", so you should check the "download speed" to see if it's installing from the disc or not.

    Thanks for the reply.

    However, the The Trilogy Discs I have, do not say "Download" anywhere on them. They say PC DVD-ROM SOFTWARE.

    The box says "internet connection required for   "Product Activation". implying only conformation for non-pirated content.

    But thanks for the reply anyway.
