Mass Effect Trilogy code-hacking
I can't seem to get the hang of Hacking. The type where you click on the circles on the screen to find pairs I can mostly do, but the type where you have to match up lines of coloured "code-segments" is doing my head in! I have managed only ONE of this type of hack in the game. I have to confess that I am in my early 60's and not very quick anymore, ha-ha. I did however play through all three of the Mass Effect games when they first came out some years ago, and I don't recall that there was a code-segment component, and IF there was, it wasn't necessary to hack it to CONTINUE PLAYING THE GAME. I would be grateful if someone would answer this question. By the way, the game is played on a PC only.

Hi wiska56,
I’m going to assume you are talking about Mass Effect 2 hacking events based on the description you wrote.
The only thing I can think of that might help is:
Try to identify the colour pattern of the code first, as it’s faster/easier. When you have the colour pattern in your mind (for example, blue/white/purple), you’ll be able to spot the possible correct segment faster.
Then, check if these segments have the correct text structure (for example, length of paragraph, display of the text...). Hopefully with a bit more practice you'll become a pro hacker !
Guys, anyone has another tip in mind? I’m afraid that’s all I can think of… I hope it helps a little bit.
Good Reaper Hunt 😉
Kind regards,
Chems
