ME1 max level still bugged?

@EA_David @EA_Mako  Playing on insanity and have done every single quest, and yet by Ilos, I was still level 29. I figure, ok, maybe by the time I beat Saren it'll be maxed out. Just beat the game, imported my completed ME1 file to ME2, and yet it says my character is level 57...???!!!

    Yes, that's the max.

    You also received 100K credits from the import bonus (the remaster transfers 10% of your credits, capped at 100K with the new patch), and 190 is the cap for paragon/renegade transfer.

    Once you unlock the achievement for completing the game, new characters and imports will start with an additional 200K credits and 50K of each resource.

    I thought it was clear at this point. It is not possible to reach level 30 in a single playthrough. You will have to do NG+.

    You have to be seriously thorough to even get to 29 in your first playthrough, but that one's at least doable. The jump between 29 and 30 is so big, you'll be playing for a reasonable amount of time. It's like 60k XP or something. You will be hitting 30 somewhere around the mid-point of NG+.

    People were promoting it as possible in previews for the game, but they clearly didn't do their homework. Save yourself the trouble and do a NG+.
