Kinda forced to when it locks the whole console, haha. But yes, I've power cycle the console, one of the steps necessary to repair file system.
Yea, my knowledge of the PS3 is only superficial.
But after all you already did I doubt that even someone with better knowledge could help here.
This might be a technical issue after all. Could be a not visible problem with the disk or a HDD problem, a crash that occurs always on the same spot certainly points to that.
Did you tried to reinstall the entire game?
- I wish reinstalling it was an option. For some reason, ME3 doesn't install game data on the PS3 like ME1 and 2 did. It just goes straight to game when you insert the disc.
See, I didn't know that either. 😳 Well, the PC is my gaming machine.
Do you know someone else who has a PS3? You could test your disks there.
