MECHANICS | Behavioral improvement and increment of abilities
*blinks facetiredly*
I want to hear from thee, oh stalwart fellow, thou suggestions around mechanics in-game, that could improve depending on your behavior. Effects, as your own creativity allows so, could be on any feature you deem possible, suggestive, interesting in your point of view.
I'll give a brief of something from my side, that can be used as an example:
COMMANDERING
Right now, we are all (or least presumptuously: plenty of us) sort of agonizing over the strict 3-slot power. We also know that, somwhere in the game, Ryder comments that he is trying to learn how to be a leader. And a third variable, we have not plenty of freedom over commanding our squad mates as Shepard had back then.
- Behavioral improvement: adding power slots assigned for squad mates
- How to get it: giving orders in battle for their positioning; being consistent upon your choices; choosing team-leader-related options rather than emotional and personal ones.
If in battle you get to make your squad mates move a lot, take cover, take point (not leading them to their deaths would make a very important difference, though), those actions would count towards unlocking the possibility of having a lead over one of your squad mates powers. Out of battle, choosing conversation dialog which benefited the group instead of useless snide or joking remarks would also count relevantly. Your success as a leader would prompt trust, thus your squad mates would then lend their powers in a more structured way to you. Keep in mind that this is in constant checking. If you start being lousy, the behavioral improvement locks back, and starts from zero (as a penalty). *slaps your face*
So, what say you?
