another update, so I had a thought that maybe the reason why I couldn't play online was because I didn't have EA play in order to play online and this was maybe the reason why it kept asking me for an online pass. So I bought the EA play monthly membership. uninstalled and reinstalled the game wasting another hour of my day amongst the already wasted 6hours spent trying to solve this alone due to having no help from staff....turns out the error is still showing even after purchasing a monthly membership to EA play....im seriously considering at this point of asking for a refund on everything and just banishing EA from my computer and memory

Sorry you ran it to this, and wasted your $ on the EA Play membership. To be clear: EA Play is not required to access and play ME3 multiplayer. You just have to own the game, which you do. If I were you, I'd try to get a refund on the EA Play (if the hassle is worth it to you).
You mentioned trying some of the solutions you found online. Did you follow the steps in this one?
In particular, the part about deleting the EA license files folder? If not, definitely try that one.
This is a not uncommon issue, but I'm not sure there is a rock solid fix other than trying the above. So if the above doesn't work, I'd suggest waiting for a response from @EA_Shepard or perhaps holger1405 who can further guide you (including the steps to get useful EA contact support help - which is inexcusably poor).
Good luck!

@WabbitQueen89 Following up on this one. Were you able to get it resolved?

Hello @EA_Shepard and @DoctorDAM , unfortunately i have followed all steps and made no further progress. i have now cancelled the EA play membership but due to my country being in Greece i am not entitled for the refund, this isnt my issue though. im very frustrated that i can not play multiplayer on this game as i used to really enjoy it back when it was owned by Origin. ive followed all instructions given and have not been able to find a solution. ive uninstalled and reinstalled several times also. i can not even apply for a full refund of the game either because i purchased it back in 2017 or 2018 back when Origin run the ropes. plus i no longer have access to the phone number i used so i cant find the product codes etc. so im basically now stuck with a game i cant play.

I made another attempt to speak to an agent about this and i followed his instructions very carefully, i opened my user interface by pressing windows key and R same time, entering &temp& then deleting all files and folders inside (some weren't able to be deleted) then opened again windows R and pasted %ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services
moved the license folder to my desktop. then the agent told me to try run the game again. the same error appeared and then he made me wait almost 10mins for him to tell me that there is no fix right now but he will report this bug to the team to find a fix for it. i asked him whether i should just get a refund for the game ( knowing i actually cannot as it is old and probably wont be doable) but he said to keep checking forums and twitter to see if there is any updates as the team will work on fixing the bug. i mentioned to him that i have been messaging agents about the same bug last month and there has been no fix or solution for this still... something needs to be done because not only is my money that i spent on this game gone in the wind now, but there seems to be no fix available at all for this game.
