The more I think about it, the more I lean toward the Angara being the Jaardan. Cloning themselves would explain both your discoveries and how an Angara was piloting the Remnant ship you pull a helmet out of... and a couple other things like their belief in reincarnation and having a glove to work tech.

So maybe that wouldn't be surprising.

Reyes is the Benefactor. THAT would be a surprise plot twist. 😃
