JUST bought ME Legendary... for close to 15+ years I have played using mouse steering, so the default controls have me perplexed (as in I can't seem to play smoothly). Is there ANYTHING I can do?
Yeah, Dragon Age 1 and 2 have MMO style controls, so that's what I was thinking of.
Nothing like that for Mass Effect. You'll have to unlearn what you have learned.
Could you share more details? Is this about the mako?
Gameplay-wise, most of the controls work as they used to, with the exception of some rebound keys to be more in line with the sequels (e.g. spacebar to sprint) and that some weapon types handle differently. The biggest change is the mako, which used to have keyboard steering but now turns to follow your view by default. This can be changed to the original controls in the game options.
Think I used the wrong terminology... no, it wasn't the vehicle, more basic like walking! I now see one can steer with the mouse while holding down the W key. I mean more clicking both buttons to move forward while steering. Just hold one button to look around (using the mouse). It's just disconcerting as all my muscle memory involves dual button presses. And yes, using the same event sequence to move both the player and the vehicle is how it should be!

You mean like Dragon Age's movement? The way it works in the Mass Effect Legendary is the same as in the original release. No way to change that, I'm afraid.
