Roleplaying games are often a bit of an emotionally involved affair for me, and I did find the game a bit lacking in this department. The storyline had enormous potential which has sadly not been reached. The game opened fairly strongly and then there just wasn't enough happening story-wise for it to feel very compelling. Then towards the midpoint of the game it felt like things picked up a bit, but before the end had become a bit stale and uneventful once more.
I also expressed similar thoughts recently. A very promising start, but a whole lot of unfulfilled potential. My biggest gripe was the story elements recycled from past Mass Effect games, for instance kett exaltation being similar to how the Reapers convert people to husks / marauders / etc. I also feel like the game didn't answer enough of the mysteries that it introduced.
Despite all that I was quite invested in the storyline by the end. The final mission was beyond spectacular. This may be minor, but I also really liked the end credits song by Aurora. 😉

This may be minor, but I also really liked the end credits shouts-out to all the other BioWare games and characters! 🤓

I didn't like the open world design one bit, but the corridor levels in the main story were very well designed.

I honestly tend to like open world games as long as its done right, which this game wasn't done right for world world exploration and i found the story areas pretty good, buggy as hell, but i played it during the release time of the game itself, so i am sure most of the bugs are gone, but i might be wrong on that front, but i do not like the fact that alot of the plot holes, like the benefactor, who the hell is it? we will never know, i mean, if its been answered in a stupid comic, which i am not going to buy, let alone read, tell me who it is.
I just wish when they do make another Mass Effect game, EA isn't cheap on the budget and they MUST be patient and let bioware do their damn game without being rushed, when it comes to rushing games out to get profit as quickly as possible really makes them look like impatient children that can't wait for their rewards for their efforts.
Its quite sad and pathetic to be honest.

Adepts rock...I did a whole selection of videos of an Adept starting at level 100 because I had constantly heard how hard it is to play once you top level 100.
Several Adept Kadara fights...
Link to a video showcasing several fights on Kadara using the Adept and different styles of play.
The one thing to really remember about Adepts is, you aren't so much looking for direct Biotic damage as you are looking for Biotic combo damage. By this I mean, don't spec so much to directly damage, such as adding extra damage to throw IF you can instead increase how often it casts or how much combo damage it does. Adepts thrive because their class skill allows biotic explosions to set off more explosions...thus the larger the area covered and the greater the damage by an explosion means more enemies are killed...
Glad you like the game, and I too feel that MEA is a story of missed potential and often wonder what if EA/Bioware had slowed down a bit....delayed release a few months to bug squash...stayed with patching a few more months...gone ahead and made dlc and not been so quick to drop the game....man the potential...

Thanks for the comments, and pleased to make your acquaintance here. I'm also sending friend requests to you all, as you seem some of the most knowledgeable and pleasant folks around here.
mcsupersport, I have watched the video you linked, pretty nice. I too don't find the game all that difficult on Insanity, especially with new game+ starting with a character that already has a high level. I imagine it may be challenging though if you start out with a brand new character on Insanity. I'll do another build post later for my adept.
