No childs?
So you know in every ME you can "romance". But i would like to see some ways to get children with other species and then have them as companions to play with. Would be a fun way to make romancing mor...
Mankind has a long history of being a race of stumbling fools. I am too rational to fall for your wall of text regurgitations of "it's been done so it's ok" argumentation.
Your empirical approach only shows that humans can be persistent, not that it's a good idea. We are a screwed up race as it is. Look at the world and then try to convince anyone we are an advanced, enlightened species in this universe. Even just saying it makes me laugh.
A poet once said: If fifty million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing.
I firmly believe in that.
Now I don't think we are going to even remotely see eye to eye on this, so I think there is wisdom in agreeing to disagree as the saying goes.
Fair enough. It's kind of a case of Not Smart/Recommended vs Don't Care/Beats The Alternative. I did enjoy the debate though.
This would actually be interesting for the next game. Ryder can decide to start having kids or not, and wind up supporting unrestricted childbirth or Nexus control of reproduction, with significant impacts on the game, kind of like backing Mages or Templars over the course of DA2, with the possibility of one or more colonies revolting/attempting to secede along the way over this and other issues (see Browncoats thread). So you could back the Initiative being "smart", cautious, etc. about reproduction, and I could support the colonists going for it all out, and we could each take the consequences of our choices.
Anyway, if we're going to be quoting poetry, I think I'll go with Kipling
Oh, East is East and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat;
But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When two strong men stand face to face, though they come from the ends of the earth!
-from the Ballad of East and West
But to-day I leave the galley. Shall I curse her service then?
God be thanked! Whate'er comes after, I have lived and toiled with Men!
-from the Galley Slave
Well, debating things is fun but once I see that people are basically repeating their same arguments without any movement I lose interest, even if I'm one of the parties involved myself. 🙂 I just realised I was repeating myself as were you, so that's why I decided it was enough for me at least.
Nice poetry though.

P.s. Not really a fan of childrens being rise on the Tempest after all it is a work place (maybe a visit some time 🙂)
Only problem with that is that while Keri and the Angara lady have homes on the Nexus or Aya, Reyes is either on the run or living in a loud, dirty Biker Bar/Strip Joint in the wrong part of town where he is running a massive criminal organization. As for Ryder, the other LIs, and presumably Ryder twin, they live on the Tempest, so where else are the kids going to be raised?
The Tempest is one of those places that is both a work place and a place to live (like shops that have apartments on the upper stories), especially for Ryder, who has this fancy giant room.

Thanks! Maybe we should start a poetry thread. Did you ever remember who wrote your poetry?

Yes, it was Anatole France.

Well it depends how you see it, sure now in MEA sure no one has a "house" but this is because thei didn't really had a lot of choise to be honest 🙂, But in the next Andromeda things will change i mean every colony is growing, they have great plans for Meridian and Ryder even has a entire planet named by him/her 🙂
In the current game it is impossible even to think of childs so ask for them is pointless, but in the next Andromeda would be awesome, don't really care where if on Tempest or some other place.
P.s. F..k Keri, that girl is like "i told the bartender to look out for you know who (your LI) and let us know if he/she is coming" then you are forced to cheat on your loved one, and after feeling like sh..t i was like "Nope thanks" reloaded the game and i still have that quest unfinished. So yeah... F..k Keri 🙂 (until they fix it)
