No DLC for Andromeda?
Just read this on Kotaku

Well, a commitment to DLCs and a schedule would be more than just a nice to have.
It is essential, EA!
I mean EA was criticized for their DLCs strategy: mostly good quality but rather short and expensive (in relation to the actual playing time).
Anyway DLCs are the cash cow, NOT the main games (always in perspective of production costs).
And not even the story DLCs (Citadel DLC, LotSB, etc) but the cosmetic and weapon DLCs. And if even those aren't announced yet ... if the cash cows are forfeited ...
If EA really avoids announcing the first DLC soon than ME:A is considered a failure by EA aka dead.
I paid much more for all the DLCs of the ME: trilogy than for the main games (and I bought ME:3 at about release) ... and I never regretted it.

Now that patch 1.07 , I mean: 'hotfix which changes the game version number to 1.07' is released, I still miss any commitment to a DLC. Now that the HUD is fixed, performance increased, why waiting?
I guess there will be another full patch, which maybe / maybe not is also referred to as 1.07 (or not), else the rephrasing from patch to hotfix would hardly make sense.
Wouldn't it be time to at least create a buzz in the community with well-placed rumors?
And am I the only person who expected ME:A to be the first of another ME trilogy?!

no, you are not. and once i knew that was not the case i'd hoped they'd reconsider. i'd hoped i didn't put nearly 600 hours into several ryders to have them simply become one-offs. that would not make me happy.

I suspect it depends on how well the DLC's sell.
Just need maps and characters and weapons to multiplayer, by the bucketfull to make it less repetitive, with DLC or or strike missions few a month or whatever. Variety is always good.
Could also fix the few sound bugs and such.
Oh OH i would love a H-047c low grav multiplayer map, can we do that?

They could do that on the SP too, to make sense, since the only thing that reminds there's lower gravity is the Nomad. Would increase the fighting fun in that planet a lot, actually. Jetpacks would send you up into the air much more, although I believe biotics would have an edge, because they could control their own kinetic energy.

Guess that would not make no-one happy ... or too excited about another ME game, that will be released eventually.
Mass Effect is Bioware's EA's own property, no-one abandons such an IP easily because ME set a high standard (for which we love it) that is hard to reach.
And If anybody thinks the Mass Effect community is overly critical, I know lots of Star Wars fans that cannot be reasoned with about any release after 1998.
So let's have faith! Potential is definitely promising!
So I pre-ordered MassEffect: Lost Ark Audiobook.
The description is interesting. In my mind, it shows that BioWare has date obligations to other distributors for spin-off material. ME:A - Nexus Uprising (Prequel) was released on the same day as the game, which shows coordination The release date for the DLC book is hard to nail down. I've seen June 27th (paperback) July 3rd Audiobook and my order date is Dec 5th audiobook.
"With a new game, Mass Effect Andromeda, set for release in 2017, the launch of a new series of Mass Effect novels is timely. The new game will take the story in a dramatic new direction and is set in a new region of space, with a new and deadly enemy.
Titan is publishing four unmissable Mass Effect novels. The novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. These new stories, developed in close collaboration with the Bioware game team, weave directly into the action of the new game - and will reveal events kept secret over the course of game play - and will add to the canonical Mass Effect saga."
So... there is a slice of hope for you all.
